Declaration of Institutional Support from SDSU
An invention is considered to have partial institutional support if the institution incurs resource costs associated with the work. Institutional support includes those costs which would not have been incurred by the institution in the absence of the development of the work, as well as those other costs associated with the significant use of University / SDSU Research Foundation equipment. This form documents the use of institutional resources.

Disclosure to SDSU
The Invention Disclosure is a document that informs the University that there is an invention that was derived from the investigator's research.
Disclosure of Copyrightable Work is a document that informs the University that there is an authored work that was derived from the faculty member's efforts.

Material Transfer Agreement Forms (MTA)
The detailed Proprietary MTA is an agreement between two parties that stipulates how material received from the "provider" can be used by the "recipient." This is an extensive form that includes all the details of the transfer agreement.
The Short MTA is a simplified, two-page agreement between two parties that stipulates how material received from the "provider" can be used by the "recipient."
The Implementing Letter-UBMTA is the short version of the MTA developed by the NIH for the transfer of non-proprietary biological material. "UMBTA" stands for the Uniform Biological Material Transfer Agreement.
The Request for Approval of Material Transfer Agreement is a form letter to the San Diego State University Office of Graduate and Research Affairs that requests SDSU's approval for a transfer of materials.
